There are 5 categories of presentations-simulations, original games, differentiated strategies, review activities and read alouds. Activities and games can be used for most subjects and students.
Simulations:
- world history including Silly Bandz, government, social justice, and economics
Original Games:
- Cranium, Heads Up- 7 Continents, latitude and longitude game, Protest improv games, scenes from a hat, tableaux, social studies white elephant
Differentiated Strategies- most popular session!
- Latitude and longitude games, 4 Square, active 4 Square and Electronic 4 Square
Review Activities:
- pictures from MOMA, electronic ABC, huge murals, quilts and more
Reading Activities:
- original activities that engage all readers, especially reluctant ones, featuring diverse books including Nicky and Vera-published in 2021, Mufaro's Daughters, and the Breadwinner and Homeless Bird
Sessions include introductions of movement, teaching, time for teachers to play games, time to interact with other educators, time to apply the concepts for teachers' classes and a debriefing session.
Half day workshops (3 hours) are $800. Full day workshops are $1400. Travel expenses are not included.
